2010 also saw the foundation of the BYD Charity Foundation which aims to help the poor and support education.Wang Chuanfu, chairman of BYD Company Limited, gave away 104.5 million yuan ($16.07 million) in 2010.
BYD specializes in IT, automobiles and new energy. It is the largest supplier of rechargeable batteries and has the second largest market share for cell-phone shells around the world.
