The Chinese women's chess team has suffered another blow, losing
to fourth-seeded Hungary 2.5-0.5 in its second consecutive loss
thus far at the chess Olympiad in Turin, Italy.
China has now dropped to 14th in the women's standings with only
10 points. Russia still leads the tally with 12.5 points, despite
an expected 2-1 loss to Ukraine on Thursday.
In the men's competition, China had a brilliant draw against
India, the tournament's second seed.
China is now 12th in the men's running with 13.5 points. Russia
and Armenia share the lead with 15.5 points.
The players will enjoy a rest day on Friday.
