In the three-day competition, Chinese divers bagged home all of the eight golds.

After grabbing a gold in men's 10-meter platform synchronized event with newly-assigned Huo Liang on Friday, Lin Yue continued his predomination on the tower on Sunday by claiming the title at a remarkable total score of 555.30 points.

Since the third round in the final, 16-year-old Lin never earned a score less than 90 points. What's more, he received an marvelous 108.30 points in his final dive by nailing a backward two-and-a-half somersault and two-and-a-half twist pike.

"My performance in the final was not bad. It's just normal," said the 16-year-old,"I still need to improve the quality of my dives."

Gleb Galperin from Russia is 66.70 points behind Lin, but secured a second place at 488.60 points. Lin's teammate Zhou Luxin finished third at 465.60 despite of successive mistakes in the last three rounds.

Galperin combined with Dmitry Dobroskok to defeat Chinese pair Hu Jia/Yang Jinghui in the synchronized event at 2005 World Aquatic Championships. They trailed Lin Yue/Huo Liang on Friday to snatch the silver.

Olympic and world champion Guo Jingjing pulled off the final gold for China in women's 3-metre event after edging out teammate Li Ting, who ranked first in the semi-finals at 371.60 points.

Guo received 356.50 points in the semi-finals and executed a below-par dive in the third round of the final, earning 58.90 points. After the fourth round, Guo maintained the lead but with a tiny advantage of 0.75 points against Li.

However, Guo's 79.95 points in the pivotal final dive was enough for her to reign on the springboard with a total score of 375.40 points. Li took the silver at 367.15 and Olena Fedorova from Ukraine was third at 324.45 points.

The 24-year-old diving star Guo, who combined Li to claim victory in the springboard synchronized event on Saturday, obviously was not satisfied with her performance on Sunday. "I could only say that I didn't perform well today."

Nevertheless, the host team could enjoy a party as their divers didn't lose any gold in front of the home crowd. Teenagers Jia Tong/ Chen Ruolin and Jiang Lishuang were female winners in the platform events. Xu Xiang was crowned in men's 3-meter springboard and world champions He Chong/Wang Feng won men's 3-metre springboard synchronized event.
