Newcastle United stunned Premier League leader Liverpool 2-1 to win the Carabao Cup final on Sunday to end 70 years without a major title.

Dan Burn celebrated his first England call-up with a towering header to put Newcastle ahead on the stroke of halftime, and Alexander Isak scored Newcastle's second with a first-time finish after Jacob Murphy's knockdown.

Bruno Fernandes had a goal and two assists in Manchester United's 3-0 win away to Leicester City, which looks increasingly doomed to relegation.

Rasmus Hojlund and Alejandro Garnacho scored United's first two goals by taking advantage of Leicester's defensive frailties.
