FC Barcelona's teenage sensation, Lamine Yamal insists he has no plans other than to spend the rest of his career with the club and he expects to have his new contract signed before the start of next season.

17-year-old Yamal has a junior contract with Barca that expires in June 2026, which means he could become an attractive target for nearly every major club in the world if he doesn't sign a new deal, but speaking in the El Mundo Deportivo newspaper, the winger said he was only thinking about Barcelona.

"It's the only club I've been at apart from La Torreta, which was the team I started at. I owe everything to Barca: it's where I grew up, I was at La Masia (Barca's residence for young players) from the age of twelve and playing for Barca from the age of seven," he said.

"I don't think anyone doubts what I am like as a Barca player, and how much I love the club. I think it (new contract) will be resolved in the end."

"If both parties want something to happen, it will happen," said Yamal, who insisted he was unaware of offers from other clubs.

"They don't reach me, but if they reached someone in my environment, they wouldn't tell me. First, and above all, because I had a contract and then because I think it is unfeasible for me to go to another club," said the youngster, who put a date on when his future would be secured.

"In July, when the next season starts, it will be resolved and everyone will see it. But now I am focused, as we have said, on the League, the Champions League and the Copa del Rey, which is the most important thing," concluded Yamal.
