China will send 103 athletes to the upcoming Gymnasiade Bahrain 2024, as a 170-member delegation was officially announced on Friday.

The Gymnasiade is an international multi-sport event which is organised by the International School Sport Federation. 48 male and 55 female athletes from the Chinese delegation, will compete in 124 events across 17 sports at the October 23-31 Games.

A total of 91 Team China's athletes will make their Gymnasiade debut, 3X3 basketball player Liang Yaqi expressed her expectations ahead of the gala. "I feel honored to represent China at this Gymnasiade, I hope to cooperate with my teammates to claim a good result," she said.

Gymnasiade Bahrain 2024 will draw an estimated 5,400 participants from 71 countries and regions competing in 26 sports.
