Neil Robertson won the eighth ranking event of his career with a 10-7 victory over John Higgins in a high quality Wuxi Classic final.
The world number one was beaten by Higgins in the season-opening Bulgarian PTC two weeks ago, but reversed the outcome in China with a thrilling victory.
The Melbourne potter was off the pace in the opening session and headed to the break a frame down as Higgins continued his form from Sofia.
He had the momentum from taking the last two frames of the afternoon, though, and took control in the evening by winning the first four frames which saw him go 8-5 in front. Higgins offered a brief response, but Robertson held on in the 17th frame to secure the ￡80,000 first prize.
"It's unbelievable to win two titles in a row in China because a couple of years ago I would have been happy just to win back-to-back matches here," Robertson told worldsnooker.com.
"This is easily one of the proudest moments of my career."
The 31-year-old underlined his status as world leader by completing successive ranking tournament wins in the Far East, following victory at the China Open in April.
