Reigning French Open champion Li Na and dual Grand Slam champion Lleyton Hewitt will play in the Hopman Cup in Perth in December, organizers said on Thursday.

Li, who also reached this year's Australian Open final, will form the Chinese team with Wu Di, the 19-year-old who claimed a five-set singles victory against Australia at this year's Davis Cup second-round World Group qualifier.

Hewitt will be partnered by Jarmila Gajdosova on the Australian team for the mixed event.

Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova had previously been confirmed as a starter in the Dec 31-Jan 7 Hopman Cup along with Czech compatriot Tomas Berdych.
