Kobe Bryant scored 26 points to pass Moses Malone for sixth place on the NBA career scoring list, leading the Los Angeles Lakers to a 101-87 win over the host Atlanta Hawks yesterday.
The Lakers have won eight straight since the All-Star break.
The Lakers' 7-footers - Andrew Bynum and Pau Gasol - both had double-doubles and dramatically affected the Hawks' shot selection. Atlanta center Al Horford relied on jump shots for his 17 points.
Bynum had 16 points, 16 rebounds and three blocked shots. Gasol had 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Trail Blazers 105, Heat 96
In Miami, LaMarcus Aldridge showed why he should have been an All-Star selection by shooting 26 points to lead Portland over out-of-form Miami.
Gerald Wallace scored 22 for Portland, which won its seventh straight on the road.
Dwyane Wade scored 38 points and LeBron James added 31 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists for the Heat, who have lost five in a row.
Suns 113, Rockets 110
In Phoenix, Hakim Warrick scored a career-high 32 points starting in place of injured Channing Frye as Phoenix added to its recent dominance of Houston.
Vince Carter scored 15 of his 32 points in the fourth quarter, including two of his five 3-pointers, in the Suns' seventh consecutive victory over Houston.
Kevin Lowry scored 32 points, including a career-high seven 3-pointers, for the Rockets, who had won seven of eight overall and seven of eight road games entering the contest.
The Suns never led by more than six in the game and trailed by 11 before recovering.
A rare free throw miss by Steve Nash gave the Rockets a chance to tie it at the finish, but Brad Miller's 3-point try under pressure was far off the mark at the buzzer.
76ers 110, Pacers 100
In Indianapolis, Philadelphia made it seven wins from eight games by downing Indiana.
Thaddeus Young scored 18 points and Andre Iguodala, coming off back-to-back triple-doubles, finished with 16 points and 10 assists for the 76ers.
Tyler Hansbrough's 26 points led the Pacers, who have lost four straight. They started off 7-1 under interim coach Frank Vogel, but have struggled to defend since.
Philadelphia shot 51 percent and forced Indiana into 20 turnovers. All five 76ers starters scored at least 12 points.
Bucks 95, Wizards 76
In Washington, Brandon Jennings scored 23 points to lead Milwaukee over Washington.
Jennings scored 10 points in the third quarter to help the Bucks to a 23 point lead at the last break.
Andrew Bogut had 14 points, nine rebounds and seven assists in his first game back from three games out with a muscle strain near his ribs. He played 33 minutes and scored six straight points for Milwaukee midway through the second quarter.
Rookie Jordan Crawford had a career-high 22 points for the Wizards, who have lost nine of their past 10.
Warriors 95, Cavaliers 85
In Cleveland, Monta Ellis made a career-high six 3-pointers - all in the second half - and scored 24 points to spark Golden State to victory over Cleveland.
Ellis made all 5 of his 3-point attempts and scored 17 in the third quarter.
Stephen Curry added 23 points for the Warriors.
Baron Davis scored 19 in his second home game for the Cavs, who were powerless to stop Ellis once he warmed up from outside.
