Wilson Chandler poured in season-high 31 points as the New York Knicks denied San Antonio Spurs' chance to be the first team naling 30th victory the season, smashing the NBA league leaders 128-115 for second straight win on Tuesday.
Chandler shot 13-of-19 from the field, adding nine rebounds and four assists. Amare Stoudemire and Raymond Felton chipped in with 28 apiece for the Knicks, who snapped the Spurs' four-game winning streak and imposed Spurs the fifth defeat the season.
Tony Parker scored 26 points and DeJuan Blair added 17 points and eight rebounds for the Spurs, who were 29-4 into the game, aiming to tie 1996-97 Chicago Bulls and the 2007-08 Boston Celtics for the second-best 34-game start in NBA history.
Knicks made hot shooting all through the game, recording a glamourous shooting of 55 percent and leading most of the way. The 128 points are the highest San Antonio have allowed this season.
Manu Ginobili scored 15 and Tim Duncan finished with 14 going just 5-of-14 on field goals.
