Italy and Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon says he can recover from a back problem in time for the Azzurri's next World Cup game.

The 32-year-old hurt his back in their 1-1 draw with Paraguay on Monday.Italy's next opponent in Group F is New Zealand on Sunday - giving Buffon six days to recover.

Buffon says the problem was with his sciatic nerve and he was hopeful of recovering in time.

Buffon came into the World Cup after a poor season with Juventus where he missed a large part of the season due to injury.
