The San Antonio Spurs stretched their NBA winning streak to seven games with a 117-104 win over the host Oklahoma City Thunder yesterday.

Matt Bonner scored 21 points and just missed the Spurs franchise record by hitting all seven of his 3-point shots. Bonner swished home three of his 3s during a 21-8 run to open the fourth quarter, and the NBA's best 3-point shooting team went 6-for-8 from behind the arc to pull away in the final period.

Bonner fell one shy of Steve Smith's record for 3-point accuracy. He went 8-for-8 against Portland in 2001-02.

Tony Parker scored 24 points for the Spurs.

Kevin Durant had a season-low 23 points for the Thunder.

Suns 121, Lakers 116

In Los Angeles, Phoenix hit the second most 3-pointers in NBA history to beat Los Angeles.

Jason Richardson scored 34 points and Steve Nash added 21 points and 13 assists for the Suns.

Phoenix was 22 of 40 from 3-point range, just missing the league record of 23 set by Orlando against Sacramento two seasons ago.

It was the Lakers first home defeat this season.

Hawks 111, Timberwolves 105

In Atlanta, the hosts won their first game in five, defeating Minnesota.

Al Horford had 28 points and 10 rebounds despite needing three stitches on the top of his head following a first-quarter collision with Anthony Tolliver and only returning midway through the second.

Josh Smith had 23 points and 10 rebounds for Atlanta.

Michael Beastly led the Timberwolves with 25 points while Kevin Love had 22 points and 17 rebounds in his first game since posting the NBA's first 30 point-30 rebound game since 1982.

Pistons 100, Kings 94

In Sacramento, Detroit won to condemn Sacramento to its fifth consecutive loss.

Rodney Stuckey scored 17 points and Ben Gordon hit a key late 3-pointer for the Pistons, who are gradually recovering from an 0-5 start.

Gordon's 3-pointer from the corner put the Pistons ahead 99-94 with 23.9 seconds left. He finished with 16 points.

Tyreke Evans scored 20 points to lead the Kings.

Rockets 104, Knicks 96

In New York, Houston climbed a little further out of the hold they dug to start the season by beating struggling New York.

Kevin Martin scored 28 points and Luis Scola added 24 for the Rockets, who have won three of four after opening the season with five straight losses. Even without injured starters Yao Ming and Aaron Brooks, they beat the Knicks for the 13th time in 15 meetings.

Amare Stoudemire scored 25 points for New York, which was loudly booed in the fourth quarter of a fifth straight loss. The Knicks missed their first eight shots in the final period to turn this game into a rout.
