Top seeds Caroline Wozniacki and Novak Djokovic both stormed into the finals of 2010 China Open with straight- set victories on Saturday.

The new WTA world No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark toppled Shahar Peer of Israel 7-5, 6-2 to move closer to her sixth WTA titles in a year after beating world No. 18 Peer 7-5, 6-2.

"I've never been in the finals here in the singles before, so I'm really happy to be in the finals," said Wozniacki, who will meet US Open runner-up Vera Zvonareva, a winner over home favourite Li Na in straight sets 6-3, 6-3. The Russian outplayed Wozniacki in the semis at U.S. Open.

"Vera's a good player; I'm a good player. So it's going to be a difficult match. Hopefully, I'm just thinking about trying to be 100 percent fit for tomorrow."

Wozniacki wrenched her left knee in the semifinals' victory over Ana Ivanovic and came back on the court with bandages wrapping over her left knee in front of Peer, who scored her first victory against Wozniacki in their most recent meeting at Dubai Open.

"I've got a lot of treatment on it. I still felt it a little bit, but it's not getting worse, so that's a positive thing," Wozniacki said.

Peer had a better start by breaking the first game. Wozniacki broke back in the second and did it again in the fourth to go ahead 5-3. However, the knee injury seemed to interrupt the top seed's performance-both in moving and in serving-before Peer levelled the score to 5-all. Wozniacki found her rhythm back in time to escape tiebreaker after gaining her third breaks in the 12th game.

The 23-year-old Israeli broke to lead 2-0 in the second set, before Wozniacki, perfectly steady in her mind and with her strokes, won the final six games in a row to conclude the one hour and 15 minutes' match.

The 20-year-old Dane has reached a tour-leading seven finals this year and is followed by her final opponent Zvonareva on six.

In the men's singles event, top seed and defending champion Novak Djokovic dispatched John Isner of the United States 7-6(1), 6-2 to set up the final against 8th seed David Ferrer of Spain.

The Spaniard eliminated Croat Ivan Ljubicic 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 in the other semifinal played at night.

Another good news also came to the 23-year-old Djokovic as the Serb has joined Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer to clinch a berth in the the 2010 Barclays ATP World Tour Finals, to be held at the O2 in London from 21-28 November.

"I was really happy to hear the news. It's four consecutive years for me to get to the Finals, so this achievement means a lot. Of course I will do my best to get even further than I did last year to try to pass the group stage, but there's still a way to go," said Djokovic, a winner of the season-ending event in 2008.
