Bastian Schweinsteiger scored the winner in overtime to give defending Bundesliga champion Bayern Munich a 2-1 victory over Wolfsburg in the season opening match on Friday.

Schweinsteiger pounced at the far post, knocking home a long ball from France's Franck Ribery.

Thomas Mueller had given Bayern an early lead before Edin Dzeko equalized in the 55th minute.
