Manchester United, Chelsea, Porto and Girondins Bordeaux have sealed their places in the next round after Tuesday's European Champions League group matches.

French champions Bordeaux's 2-0 road victory pushed the four-time European champion Bayern Munich to the edge of elimination while Man. Utd suffered a scare before they pulled two goals back to level CSKA Moscow 3-3.

Porto clinched a 1-0 win at APOEL Nicosia and Chelsea drew 2-2 with Atletico Madrid to make the last 16.

In a dramatic Group B match, Man. Utd trailed at 3-1 with only 10 minutes left when Paul Scholes and a deflected Antonio Valencia effort off the head of Georgy Shchennikov forced the draw.

Hosts Besiktas lost to VfL Wolfsburg 3-0 in the other match.

Didier Drogba scored twice on his return from a three-match European suspension for Chelsea in Group D where Porto also advanced.

With Bordeaux advancing from Group A with 10 points and Juventus moving on to eight with a 1-0 win at Haifa, Bayern with four points, face a battle to qualify with a home match against Haifa and a visit to Juventus remaining.

The Group C saw a clash between AC Milan and Real Madrid, who have won the European Cup 16 times between them.

The 1-1 draw left both on seven points from four matches, just one ahead of Olympique Marseille who crushed FC Zurich 6-1.

Maccabi Haifa, Besiktas, APOEL Nicosia and Atletico were all eliminated, but could yet finish third in their respective groups and go into the Europa League.
