Chelsea failed to achieve their seventh consecutive win in the English Premier League this season as Wigan dominated strongly at home to beat the Blues 3-1.

Powerhouses Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool all took victory while Manchester United scooped the top position.

Chelsea conceded a goal first as Titus Bramble headed home from close range after 16 minutes, but managed to make amends with Didier Drogba's 100th goal for the club only two minutes into the second half.

However, a seemingly unbeaten Chelsea were shocked five minutes after the equalizer as goalkeeper Petr Cech was sent off for foul to Wigan's Colombian striker Hugo Rodallega.

Chelsea boss Ancelotti had to replace Florent Malouda with Henrique Hilario but the substitute goalkeeper was unable to prevent Rodallega scoring from the penalty spot.

Then, a 10-man Chelsea could hardly make any threat, leaving Wigan to seal the win at 3-1 with Paul Scharner's injury time goal. It is Wigan's first win over a top four club in their Premier League history.

The Blues have to render the first position to Man United as the Red Devils overcame Stoke City 2-0 with Ryan Giggs' two assists.

The veteran came to the pitch as a second half substitute, then set up a simple opener for Dimitar Berbatov in the 62nd minute. 15minutes later, it was Giggs again who curled a fantastic free-kick for John O'Shea to head the second.

Man United manager Sir Alex Ferguson was delighted that "Ryan Giggs is important and he made the goals".

At Anfield, Fernando Torres completed hat-trick as Liverpool sent off Hull 6-1. But Robbie Keane was even more efficient as the Tottenham Spur striker scored four times in their 5-0 victory over Burnley.

Besides, Robin van Persie's second-half goal ensured Arsenal to claim a 1-0 win against the hosts Fulham. Portsmouth suffered a seven-game losing streak as they were beaten by Everton 1-0. Birmingham was overplayed by Bolton 2-1. Blackburn edged Aston Villa 2-1 Aston Villa.
