Former Olympic doubles gold medalist Li Na came out the second Chinese casualty under Polish Agnieszka Radwanska as she was knocked out of Wimbledon in a third-round straight sets defeat on Saturday.

The 11th-seeded Radwanska had knocked out the Chinese number three Peng Shuai in the second round.

Li, ranked second in China and seeded 19 at Wimbledon, lost 6-4, 7-5 in an hour and 33 minutes, despite a valiant showing in which she saved a string of match points.

"After the match I talked to the coach and we didn't know why I missed the ball like crazy. No idea, " said a downbeat Li.

"Always it's very good to be in the second week of a Grand Slam. So I'm very happy with that, especially after two difficult matches," Radwanska said.

Radwanska will next play American qualifier Melanie Oudin, the world number 124, for a place in the quarterfinals.

Wimbledon debutante Oudin is the youngest player left in the draw at 17. She beat Serbian sixth seed Jelena Jankovic in the third round.
