Wolfsburg beat Borussia Dortmund 3-0, while Bayern Munich scored thrice in the second half en route to a 3-0 victory over Bayer Leverkusen. Hertha Berlin, meanwhile, secured a 2-1 victory at Koeln.

Wolfsburg and Bayern both collected 63 points, with Wolfsburg scoring two more goals.

Hertha Berlin are a point behind the two, while Stuttgart could have 61 points if they win at Schalke 04 on Wednesday.

The other game on Tuesday saw bottom club Karlsruhe SC all but relegated after giving away a 2-0 lead against Hanover 96 before losing 3-2.

Wolfsburg's strikers Edin Dzeko and Grafite, the Bundesliga's top-scoring forward pair, scored all three goals, helping the team rack up their 14th successive home win in the league.

Dzeko opened the scoring in the 14th minute with his 21st goal of the season, before the Brazilian Grafite added a second two minutes after the restart.

Dzeko scored his second six minutes from the time after being set up by Grafite, who heads the goalscorer standings with 24 goals.

In Munich, Bayern kept up the pressure on Wolfsburg at the top with a 3-0 home victory over Bayer Leverkusen.

Second-half goals from Luca Toni, Franck Ribery and Lukas Podolski sealed the win and a measure of revenge for Bayern's 4-2 loss to Leverkusen in the German Cup quarter-finals.
