Injured Orlando guard Jameer Nelson will be replaced by Ray Allen, guard of Boston Celtics, in the NBA All-Star game next week, according to media reports Friday.
A torn labrum in the right shoulder of Nelson forced him to pull out, and he must be replaced in the skills challenge on All-Star Saturday night.
Next week will see Allen's ninth All-Star appearance. He also was an injury replacement last season and helped the East gain a 134-128 victory over the West in New Orleans.
