The three fencers China sent to the Olympic Games men's epee individual event, including Athens silver medalist Wang Lei, all failed in the preliminaries here on Sunday.
Wang Lei lost to Bas Verwijlen of the Netherlands 10-15 in the round of 32 and his teammate Li Guojie was defeated by South Korea's Jung Jin Sun 15-6.
