Stilt-walking event held to claim Guinness world record

A Cirque du Soleil performer shows off a message on her stilts as she gets ready for a Guinness World Record stilt walking attempt to mark Cirque's 25th anniversary June 16, 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada. There were 1,926 Cirque artists and employees expected to participate at the same time in Orlando, Florida, Fortaleza, Brazil, Macau, China, Moscow, Montreal and Las Vegas in walking on stilts for at least 300 meters in less than 15 minutes to break the record.
