Li Mingfu, with the Mass Art Centre of Luoyang City, Henan Province, displays his work - a replica of Buddha Losana statue which is located in the Longmen Grotto of the same provice, April 6, 2009. The replica is pieced together with 30,000 matches, measuring 32 centimeters high. Li spent two months on his work by building a gypsum model first and then gluing the matches together with white latex. He once replicated heads of Buddha Losana statue in bronze, ancient three-color glazed pottery, etc.[Xinhua] |
