| Zahi Hawass, Secretary General of the Egyptian Supreme Council of Antiquities, introduces a wooden coffin for journalists at Saqqara, 30 km south of Cairo, capital of Egypt, on Feb. 11, 2009. Zahi Hawass opened here on Wednesday a limestone sarcophagus that had been sealed by the Pharaohs for 2600 years. This sarcophagus was found inside a burial chamber 11 meters below the ground, which contained another 30 mummies, wooden coffins, and limestone sarcophagi. [Xinhua] |
