A keeper checks the ear of an elephant at the Elephant Orphanage in Nairobi, Kenya on Oct. 16, 2024. The orphanage, located on the outskirts of Nairobi, rescues and treats elephant "orphans" in various nature reserves in Kenya. Through treatment and training, it gradually restores the ability of the elephants that were affected by natural and human factors to help them regain wildness and survive independently.
