China's development of winter sports in numbers

Editor's note: Promoting winter sports was one of the major goals for China's bidding and hosting the 2022 Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympics. Using the Games as a point of departure, winter sports in China have been growing rapidly in recent years, and the commitment to get 300 million people taking part has now been met.

Based on the latest statistics released by the National Bureau of Statistics and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, China.org.cn looks back at some of the highlights of the country's development of winter sports.
