Wickerwork products help poverty-alleviation in Jiangsu

Local women work at a wickerwork plant in Tashan town, Ganyu district of Lianyungang city in east China’s Jiangsu province, on Nov. 23, 2020. In recent years, combined with encouraging a revival of traditional handcraft skills, local authorities have made great efforts to promote and protect the provincial-level intangible cultural heritage – wickerwork. It has injected vitality into business across the town, especially through the online promotion and has helped locals shake off poverty.
