A giant piece of jade found in the Yangtze River becomes the most valuable treasure among the collections in the Olympic Museum in Xiamen in east China's Fujian Province.

The Olympic Museum, to open in mid January, exhibits over 500 Olympic souvenirs, including Olympic torches, mascots, memorial coins and badges.

Most of the souvenirs were donated by Wu Jingguo, a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) who also invested to build the museum.

The museum has been authorized to become a member of the International Olympic Museum Union, the first for China.
