中國欲擬首部反家暴法

據新華社報道，全國婦女聯合會的一名官員表示，中國最高立法機構將起草首部反家庭暴力法。

這將是中國第一部獨立的反家庭暴力的綜合性法律。

婦聯官員蔣月娥表示，婦聯加大了協助全國人大起草該法的力度，希望能加快立法進程。她說，婦聯已起草了一個建議版，希望能給立法人員作為參考。但是新法的擬定頒布還沒時間表。

婦聯2007年的一項調查顯示，中國2.7億個家庭中，30%的家庭發生過家庭暴力，85%以上的受害人為女性。家庭暴力每年導致約10萬個家庭破裂。

China to draft domestic violence law

An official with the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) said China's top legislature is set to draft the first law on domestic violence, Xinhua reported.

This will be the country's first independent and comprehensive law on domestic violence.

Jiang Yue'e, an ACWF official, said the ACWF stepped up efforts to assist National People's Congress in drafting the law and hopes to accelerate the legislative process. The federation has drafted a proposed version of the law that it hopes would provide a reference to legislators, she said. However, there is no timetable for the new law.

According to a 2007 ACWF survey, domestic violence occurred in 30 percent of the 270 million families and over 85 percent of the victims were women. About 100,000 families break up each year as a result of domestic violence.
