A suicide bomber carried out explosion attack against a convoy of the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan's southern Helmand province Monday morning, killing at least?4?ISAF soldiers and three civilians, and wounding 11 others, officials said.
Mohammad Hussain Andiwal, provincial police chief, told Xinhua it occurred at around 9:00 A.M. (0430 GMT) when the suicide attacker drove a car full of explosive material and exploded it near the ISAF convoy in Greshk district of Helmand.
"At least?3 civilians were killed and?7 more were injured, "he added.
Meanwhile, a spokesman from ISAF office confirmed there was an explosion attack against NATO convoy, killing?4 soldiers and wounding other 4.
"All the wounded have been evacuated for medical treatment," he said.
Meanwhile, Qari Yousuf Ahmadi, the purported Taliban spokesman, told Xinhua via phone from an unknown hideout that the outfits took responsibility on the suicide attack and caused great damages on NATO troops.
Britain troops are mostly being deployed in the unrest Helamd province fighting against Taliban militants and also helping with the reconstruction programs.
Over 220 people have been killed mostly in militant-related violence this year across the war-torn country, where the anti-government militants have vowed to intensify their guerrilla-style attacks.
