Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Wu Dawei will hold talks respectively with chief delegates to the six-party talks from?North Korea, the United States,? South Korea and Japan, said Qin Gang, a Foreign Ministry spokesman in Beijing at a regular press conference on Tuesday.

The five parties, which are expected to exchange views on how to promote the six-party talks process, are working on specific arrangements, said?Qin.

"We hope other parties involved maintain sufficient and effective two-way communications so as to comprehensively carry out the second-phase actions plan in a balanced matter as soon as possible", he added.

It is learnt that top US nuclear negotiator Christopher Hill is due to arrive in Beijing on Tuesday and meet with his?North Korean?counterpart Kim Kye Gwan on the same day.

"We have noticed that US and North Korea kept frequent contacts recently with positive interactive activities, which we think is conductive to promoting the six-party talks progress", Qin said, "We hope the two sides will keep the good momentum."

On?North Korean nuclear program declaration, he said this issue has been stipulated clearly in the joint documents that already published by six-party talks, and all the parties have made commitment on that.

Qin said China hopes the stipulations of the joint documents and all parties' commitment could be comprehensively carried out in a balanced way.

During the period, the parties concerned should enhance communication and deepen mutual trust to achieve positive results in the second-phase actions plan with a pragmatic and flexible attitude, said Qin.

Qin called on all the countries to work toward the same direction and make concerted efforts, saying that China hopes the six-party talks could achieve progress all along, which is also the common wish of the six parties.
