Two more victims infected with the A/ H1N1 have died in Britain following the report of a nine-year-old child who died over the weekend, officials said on Monday.
A man and a girl from Kirklees, West Yorkshire died last week, but no more details have been revealed. This brings the death toll of people contracted with the H1N1 flu in Britain to seven.
The nine-year-old from south London had "serious underlying health problems," said a spokesman for the National Health Service (NHS) in London.
Last week, a 19-year-old man from south London died after infected with the H1N1 flu virus. To date, the oldest dying from the flu aged 73 while the youngest being six.
Up to last week, over 7,400 people in Britain have been infected with the H1N1 flu, making the country the worst hit by the pandemic in Europe. Some experts have allegedly warned that by the end of next month, the number of the H1N1 flu cases in Britain could rise to 100,000 a day
