Public Health Ministry on Tuesday announced 84 more patients, who are confirmed to have infected with the A/H1N1 flu virus, bringing the country's total number to 1,414.
Of the total, some 1,390 cases had recovered, while 24 others were still in hospitals, Deputy Public Health Minister Manit Nopamornbodee said, the Bangkok Post's website reported.
Meanwhile, Manit said the condition of the infected 47-year-old man, who also had pneumonia, was still critical.
People with flu symptoms should have enough rest and not to exercise excessively, Manit suggests.
In a related development, Public Health Minister Witthaya Kaewparadai said according to the Bureau of Epidemiology, Department of Disease Control, from July it is more likely that people will be infected with the new virus, Thai language news agency INN reported.
However, it will also depend on how much Thais alert amid the expanding outbreak, said Witthaya.
If people have kept aware of this new virus, it will be less likely that they will be contacted with the A/H1N1 flu, he said.
They should go to see doctors immediately, if they develop flu symptoms and can not recover by themselves within two days, Witthaya said.
In the past two weeks on average the flu outbreak has infected about 90 people a day, Manit said.
Thailand's death toll from the deadly new virus has remained at three since June 27, he added.
The country had its first two confirmed patients on May 12.
