Arthur Yuen has been appointed Deputy Chief Executive of Hong Kong Monetary Authority, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government announced Friday.
Yuen will be responsible for banking stability from January 1, 2010 when YK Choi retires, said the government in a statement.
Yuen is currently Executive Director of the External Department of the authority. He joined the authority as a division head in 1996 and was promoted to Executive Director in 2004.
