Chinese President Hu Jintao has met with Donald Tsang and Edmund Ho Hau Wah, chief executives of the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions.

During talks with Donald Tsang, Hu Jintao said Hong Kong has been developing well under the joint efforts of the SAR government and other social sectors. Hu Jintao said the central government believes Hong Kong will contribute to the "One Country, Two systems" Policy by developing its economy, improving people's livelihoods, and promoting democracy and harmony.

At a meeting with Edmund Ho, Hu Jintao praised the wish of Macao's people to maintain positive development and deal with any potential obstacles during the process. Hu Jintao said the central government believes the Macao SAR will govern the region by law, unite citizens to promote healthy economic development, and maintain social stability and harmony.
