Mei Baojiu,?the youngest son and successor of late Peking Opera master Mei Lanfang, is a renowned Peking Opera artist himself and a member of the 11th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).
Both the Meis are known for outstanding portrayal of female roles in Peking Opera.
This year, Mei Baojiu?put forward?a proposal on?introducing Peking Opera into elementary?schools.
