Women are playing an increasing important role in all walks of life in China. This year, they have arrived at the annual NPC and CPPCC sessions with bills and proposals covering a wide range of topics including education, migrant workers and employment.

Zhang Chengfen is a member of the 11th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). She is also vice president of Jinan University where she does research in Psychology and Education. She has submitted proposals on the employment of college graduates and migrant worker.
