Mainland offers pandas, rare plants to Taiwan

The panda pair, Tuan Tuan and Yuan Yuan, will soon arrive in Taiwan and be housed at the Taipei Mucha Zoo, according to Chen Yunlin, president of the mainland's Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Strait (ARATS), during a press conference in Taipei on Thursday, November 6, 2008.

The panda pair, Tuan Tuan and Yuan Yuan, will soon arrive in Taiwan and be housed at the Taipei Mucha Zoo, according to Chen Yunlin, president of the mainland's Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Strait (ARATS), during a press conference in Taipei on Thursday, November 6, 2008. The mainland promised three years ago to donate two giant pandas to Taiwan to demonstrate its goodwill.
