Five reporters from the China International Publishing Group (CIPG) left Beijing on Saturday night for Durban, South Africa to cover the United Nations Climate Change Conference.

Zhao Jun, vice editor-in-chief of China Report, will lead the CIPG team, which also includes representatives from CIPG's affiliated media organizations China.org.cn, Beijing Review, China Today, China Pictorial and China Report.

The first group will begin reporting from Durban on Monday Nov. 28. Another four reporters will arrive at the conference on Dec. 3, Zhao said.

Zhao said they will focus primarily on the Chinese delegation's activity during the conference, which will last from Nov. 28 to Dec. 9.

CIPG was founded in 1949 with a mission to introduce China to foreign countries through books, magazines and websites. It has over 20 subsidiaries as well as 12 overseas branches located in the United States, Britain, Germany, Belgium, Russia, Egypt, Mexico, Japan and Hong Kong, and operates a wide range of foreign language publications.
