A region bordering Kazakhstan in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region was hit by rainstorms and hailstones from July 2 to July 4. The region is under the administration of the tenth division of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps (XPCC), which is a special social organization that handles its own administrative and judicial affairs within the reclamation areas.
