Ramifications of radiation in film

It is well known that radiation can harm people and animals. After a serious radiation accident, it is not unusual for a panic to ensue, such as the ongoing Japan nuclear power plant explosion. In reality, however, the damage is limited and being controlled by experts.

While in the film industry, especially sci-fi films, most radiation calamities bring about horrific transformations. The consequences and damages are exaggerated to attract greater audiences. Film producers have created numerous classical images on the screen, such as Godzilla, who destroyed Manhattan to find her babies, well, giant lizard babies, and they have also created heroes to save the planet like the Fantastic Four. Film makers use their imaginations to show us a multitude of possibilities in the wake of radiation contamination.

	While working on a new technology to accelerate the healing process in animals, he is exposed to gamma radiation. Instead of killing him, the radiation turns him into the Hulk, a mindless green behemoth. Release in 2003.

	Hank Mocoy's father was employed at a local nuclear power plant before Henry's birth and was once exposed to intense nuclear radiation, which appears to have caused his son's mutation. Release in 2000, 2005, 2008

	A shapeshifter endowed through an accident with the ability to turn himself into sand, he eventually reformed, and became an ally of Spider-Man. He first appeared in Spiderman 3. Release in 2007.
The Hills Have Eyes	Characters: deformed cannibals
	While traveling in a trailer to California through the New Mexico Desert, a family is misled to a shortcut going to nowhere. Along the night, they are attacked by a group of deformed cannibals, fruit of the atmospheric nuclear tests conducted by USA from 1945 to 1962 in that spot. Release in 2000.
