An earthquake measuring 7.1 on the Richter Scale hit Pakistan at 4:23 a.m. Beijing Time Wednesday (2023 GMT Tuesday), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.

The epicenter was monitored at 28.8 degrees north latitude and 63.9 degrees east longitude with a depth of about 20 kilometers, the center said.
