Wild animals head for food after heavy snow in Xinjiang

Kiangs are seen in snow-covered Junggar Basin in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Jan. 19, 2010. Large flocks of wild animals have been seen moving from the Altay pasture and the northern Junggar Basin, heading for hinterland of Junggar Basin for food and warmer weathers after the northern areas in Xinjiang was suffering from the worst snow in 60 years, with snow accumulating to 50 centimeters deep on the average and 1-2 meters in mountainous areas.
