The Xinjiang company of China's Southern Airlines, based in south China's Guangdong Province, launched Tuesday a new route linking the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomousn Region in northwest China with Pakistan.
The new line flies from Urumqi, capital of Xinjiang, to Islamabad, with a stopover in Kashi, in southern Xinjiang. Two return flights are offered on the new route every week.
To date, two routes are available linking Urumqi with Islamabad, including a non-stop one already in operation, and offering four flights in total every week and greatly increasing traffic convenience between the two destinations.
