The China office of the World Health Organization says the suspected SARS case in southern China's Guangdong Province won't be confirmed until early next week.
The WHO experts discussed the suspected case in a conference call Friday, saying they would draw a final conclusion until after a new round of anti-body experiment is made.
Experts from China and the WHO have toured Guangdong to inspect the situation there. They say the monitoring system against SARS in the province is effective and are satisfied with the cooperation they received from the local government.
The temperature of the suspected SARS patient has been kept normal for a consecutive 11 days.
