Hangzhou Opens All Museums Free to Public
Hangzhou Gardening Bureau announced yesterday that all 15 museums and memorial halls under administration of the bureau would be open to public free of charge all through the year as of May 18, the International Museum Day.

Among the 15 museums are six larger and unique museums that have never been open for free before.

The six museums are China Tea Museum, Southern Song Dynasty Guan Kiln Museum, Hangzhou Museum of History, Zhang Taiyan Memorial Hall, Su Dongpo Memorial Hall and Memorial Temple of Zhang Cangshui.

Industrial insiders pointed out the move marks a big stride forward toward international practice.
