The 2003 Guangzhou New Year Concert will be held on December 31st and January 1st at Guangzhou's Sun Yatsen Memorial Hall, according to a news conference recently.
The concert is being organized by the Guangzhou government, co-organized by the Guangzhou Foreign Exchange Center and sponsored by the "Tianyu" Real Estate Co. Ltd.
The concert will feature the Vienna Youth Symphony O as the main orchestra in the two-day event. This is the first time that a high-level European symphony orchestra has been invited to Guangzhou's New Year Concert.
To attract more citizens, the organizing committee has divided the tickets into various classes; the lowest one costs 80 yuan.
