European Union (EU) airlines can henceforth fly regularly from France to Morocco, the French Civil Aviation Authority (DGAC) said in a statement published Wednesday.

 

The Irish company Ryan Air is expected to launch regular flights on this route, departing from Marseille in France, flying to Fez, Oujda and Marrakech in Morocco from Nov. 1, 2007.

 

According to the DGAC, France ratified the agreement which ends existing restrictions on traffic rights between the two countries on March 30, 2007.

 

Henceforth, EU airlines can take advantage of this agreement and conduct regular direct flights from France to Morocco.

 

"The agreement is being enforced on a provisional basis by France, as all the 25 member countries of the EU must ratify the agreement in order to make its enforcement definite," the DGAC says.
