All six people on board a twin- engine Islander plane, which lost control and crashed Wednesday morning in Cebu, central Philippines, were unhurt, said officials of a local air transport office in Cebu.

 

An earlier radio report said the plane crashed near a plantation bay resort after flying from Butuan, northern Mindanao. But officials said the plane was on its way from Davao to Manila with a scheduled refueling stop in Cebu when the incident took place.

Officials also confirmed that the plane was registered after the name of a congressman from Mindanao, but it is not known whether the congressman, who is reportedly a supporter of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, was on board.
