A strong cold front moving southeast will bring lower temperatures, strong winds and snow to central and eastern China over the next two to three days, China's Central Meteorological Station forecast on Friday.

 

The cold front is expected to bring temperatures down by four to eight degrees Celsius in most areas of central and eastern China. In parts of north and northeast China, the temperature drop will be as low as 10 degrees.

 

Meanwhile, snow is expected in parts of Inner Mongolia, northeast China and the northern Shandong peninsula. Moderate to heavy snow will blanket parts of Jilin, Liaoning, and Heilongjiang provinces, while snowstorms will hit eastern Jilin.

 

Strong winds at force seven to eight will sweep east and south China's sea areas, said the station.

 

The heavy fog that cloaked many parts of northern China since late Monday has eased or dissipated.
