Top Hotel Group to Expand China Business

As China's business travel thrives and Beijing Olympics approach, the world famous hotel group fastens their pace into China.

Intercontinental Hotels Group, one of the world's top hotel chains, carried out a road show in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing. Representatives from the Chinese mainland, Thailand, Spain and Britain conferred with local business people and travel agencies, promising for quality service in their hotels.

"It is the first time Intercontinental held such a road show. We are keen of China's growing market and hope to invest more," said William Lau, director of Regional Sales of Asia Pacific of the company.

According to the World Tourism Organization, China is expected to become the biggest tourism destination by the year 2020. Experts said the world's hotels competition in China reflects the increasing demand of China's business market.

Owning the most hotel rooms in the world, Intercontinental boasts more than 3,500 hotels worldwide. It now has 47 hotels in China, with another 28 under construction.
